Deunpunto Alotro diary 1
It start with a melody, one well known from
travellers. A slow melody anouncing a meeting. A slow melody that carries
inside the common desire of the three of us: discover and going for a part of
our so beautiful planet.
Our trip started well before this firsts days together,
in between Thailand and India on one side and Turkey and Georgia on the other.
But the 26 of November 2014, in Bandar Abbas, Iran, we at last came together,
embraced, animated by the happiness of seeing each other finally being the
solidly united tripod.
Quickly, we are warmed by the Iranien hospitality,
pure, sincere, ininterested and unmesurable. In Bandar Abbas, Sam, an
incredible man let us his appartment and oranise a night on an island. The
adventure starts... We are the three!
Musique flows along with our meeting with everytime
more incredible Iranians! What a present, what happiness, what a beautiful
feeling it is to be at home in a foreign country. Life is so enjoyable and
sweet in here that we let ourselves being rocked by this very human Persian
culture.
The first week goes by so quickly and honestly we only
think about spending beautiful time together. Even the increasing doubts of not
being able to get the motorcycles in Iran do not stop this renewed energy. The
internet connexions in Iran are difficult to find and we didn't have it in the appartment.
We still managed to give news thanks to the kindness and hospitality of the
friends Thomas and Guiller made in the first hotel they were in Bandar Abbas.
Again amazing people met along the road.
Some days, the sun does not rise since our evenings
stretches... some music, an evening eating crabs drinking whisky, dansing
iranian way, and dancing again and laughing, laughing, laughing...
Never ceased to be amazed, curious and happy to
discover a new face of Iran and encounter with todays' Persian culture. Strong
and free women, smiling and attentive men, people full of a will to breath
freedom.
After two failed departures
for Shiraz, we take the night bus. Amazing Iranian bus! For 6€, a VIP bus, with
ultra confy sits that you can use as bed for a 11h trip (according to the
lonely planet) that will in the end only last 7h30... so arrival before sunrise
in Shiraz. We end up in a small restaurant of the bus station in front of a
cafe. From afar is showing the shadows of impressive montains waking up at the
warmth and sunrays of the rising sun.
Shiraz, city of wine and artists, here we are...
The meeting with our following host, Surush the happy,
happens in music around delicious fruit and nuts shakes, specialty of his juice
bar the Green Apple! We adapted very fast to the Shirazian relax attitude
enjoying pasts all bans. The Islamic republic cannot stop the famous Shiraz
wine to flow happily nor the herb that makes us laugh so much to be consumed in
the comfort and discretion of homes.
We soon realise how big the city is and how dense is
the traffic! The first days pass in between looking for a good internet to
access for Facebook, the fruit bar, the visit of waterfalls and meeting our
host's parents. Once again, the Iranian hospitality doesn't stop to amaze us
and even embarrass us in some situations. They offer us everything: their house
is our house, their belongings are our belongings and it is totally impossible
to pay anything even with the best will in the world.
On the road we are amazed by the beauty of the
surrounding mountains with yellow and ocre color on which small and timid trees
are growing. A land that saw the firsts civilisations births, a land rich in
humanity!
Stay tunned for Persepolis.
